“Feeling Good” was original written for a the 1964 musical “The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd” and has been recorded by multiple different artists including Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra as well as more modern recordings by Adam Lambert and Muse.
It’s a new dawn
It’s a new day
It’s a new life
And I’m feeling good
The first version is probably the most famous, performed by Nina Simone and recorded in 1965. She brings her jazzy gospel voice to the song with a strength that is matched by the big band style of music.
The second version is by the UK band Muse with a more modern take on the classic.
Great song with a variety of different styles to choose from a I think a great song to kick off 2017, and I hope that everybody else is “Feeling Good”.
